Eye opening news story

I have never flown fatigued. Have I flown tired? Yes. The worst trips for me are reduced rest overnight trips. These are overnights where we have just 8 hours between the time we are off duty (15 minutes after arrival) to the time we are on duty again (sometimes just 20 minutes before departure). I have a hard time falling asleep as I am worried about oversleeping.

Take a few minutes and watch the video via this link http://kstp.com/news/stories/S1041636.shtml?cat=1

INVESTIGATION: Are Regional Airline Pilots Rested?

It's a growing problem that has the attention of the National Transportation Safety Board and Congress--are pilots who fly for regional airlines rested enough to be safe?

The Federal Aviation Administration has been urged for decades to make rule changes that pilots believe will help reduce fatigue cases and make life safer.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS went undercover on a late night flight from the Twin Cities to Iowa to show you the hours some pilots are keeping.
