My airline is VERY senior ...I respect your opinion. My airline is VERY senior in terms of time to Captain and age of Captains. I've flown with more than a few who are 55+. I get along with just about everyone as long as they do their job and allow me to do mine. Part of our jobs is passenger safety and comfort. Turning off the seatbelt sign for example affects both. Safety as passengers tend to respect the sign when PAs are made before and after the sign is turned off.
